Swansea City may not have the squad depth or the support that Hull City do, but the Welsh side do have a number of similarities to the Tigers. They’re in the relegation zone and have been for some time now, they’ve just lost their manager, and they can’t pull themselves out of trouble.
Swansea City have lost two league matches in a row, both of which ended with a defeat. Both of those results saw the side bring in new defenders within the space of a week, hinting that the club’s owners may have taken stock of the squad's current state and have decided that changes need to be made in order to prevent another relegation.
Swansea City can be caught by surprise from time to time, but Hull City will be extra aware of that after their three-game winning run ended in a draw and a loss. Neither of these results did Hull City any favours, and so City fans will be keen to get back on track. Goals will be crucial for the side that has been penned in the relegation zone, and so the lack of goals in the two losses is going to count against City.
Hull City should be able to soak up the pressure Swansea City will likely try to put them under, and a repeat of those three-game winning streak is likely at home.
Swansea City will be desperate to get back to
winning ways this season, and their defeat to Derby County had a lot to do with them missing that winning mentality.
